It answers the phone. And says it’s an AI. First.
Pharmin picks up every call, 24/7, in your pharmacy’s name — captures the request, and hands it to your team. It never makes a clinical decision.
It tells your patients it’s an AI. Plainly, and first.
“Hi, I’m your pharmacy’s AI assistant. Just so you know, calls are recorded for safety and pharmacist review. How can I help you today?”
The line every Pharmin number opens with — on every call, not on request.
Ask it whether it’s a robot and it says yes, directly. It is never allowed to imply it’s a person. From 2 August 2026 the EU AI Act requires this of everyone — Pharmin has been doing it since before it was asked to.
It records the request. It never resolves it.
The AI takes the request over the phone and writes it up as a task for your team. It doesn’t verify medicines, confirm prescriptions, or settle anything clinical or financial itself — that always goes to a person.
Things it is built never to do.
A pharmacy can’t hand clinical judgement to software, so Pharmin was built not to accept it. These aren’t settings — they can’t be turned on.
Never gives medical or clinical advice.
Never approves, changes or refuses a prescription.
Never confirms a medicine is ready or in stock.
Never judges whether a medicine suits someone.
Never overrides a decision your team has made.
Never claims to be a pharmacist, or a person.
Emergencies stop the AI cold.
On chest pain, stroke signs, a severe allergic reaction or signs of self-harm, it stops, gives only the 999/112 (or Samaritans / Pieta) line with no first-aid coaching, and ends the call. It never routes an emergency to the pharmacist queue.
A person, whenever they want one.
Ask for the pharmacist or press 1 and you’re put straight through while the pharmacy is open. Out of hours there’s nobody to transfer to, so it takes the message and logs a callback rather than pretending otherwise.
English and Ukrainian.
It detects the language and can switch mid-call, re-giving the AI disclosure in Ukrainian. The written record is always kept in English so your team reads one language.
Names stay private.
A caller’s name on file is never read back aloud. The spelling is confirmed quietly by WhatsApp afterwards, so nothing sensitive is said down an open line.
Hear it answer a call.
We’ll set it up on a test line with your pharmacy’s name and greeting, and you can ring it yourself.
